At Poker Power, we’ve listened closely to your feedback, and one request came up time and time again: the ability to plan games with the friends you’ve met at events or in our classes. We’re excited to announce that your wish has been granted! With our new Future Game Scheduling feature, you can now create and schedule poker games in advance.
How It Works:
Whether you’re meeting people at a live event, participating in a virtual class, or simply planning ahead with your friends, scheduling a game for a future date has never been easier. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use this new feature:
1. Click “Create a Game”
Start by opening the Poker Power app and heading to the Create a Game section, just like you always have.
2. Click “Tournament”
Right now, the future game scheduling feature is available for tournaments only (but don’t worry – quick games are on the way!). We’re excited to get your feedback on tournaments before expanding to other formats.
3. Click “Schedule for Later”
Now, the magic begins! Click Schedule for Later and enter the date and time when you’d like the game to take place. You don’t need to worry
about time zones either – the app will automatically adjust to your local time.
4. Click “Create Game”
Once you’ve entered the game details, click Create Game, and voilà! Your game is officially scheduled.
5. Share the Game Code
After creating the game, you’ll receive a share code that you can pass along to others. They’ll enter this code into the Join Game/Private Code area of the app to join your game.
But that’s not all! We’ve made it even easier to share your game with friends:
- Share the game link directly through any communication app (text, email, slack.).
- If you’re in person, you can show the QR code for a quick scan!
6. Game Reminders for Participants
Once your friends accept the game invite, they’ll see a card on their home screen reminding them of the upcoming game. And for those who have enabled push notifications, they’ll receive a reminder on the day of the game, so no one forgets!
We built this feature to make staying connected easier and more fun. Now, whether you’re planning a tournament with friends or want to continue the poker journey with new connections, you’ll have all the tools you need to play when you’re ready.
